A flavour a long time coming.

For Fiona, co-founder of Sidekick Soda, this collaboration is deeply personal. After losing her mother, Irene, to cancer following a long journey with breast cancer, supporting the cause became something close to her heart.

Earlier this year, Fiona joined hundreds of hikers at Hike for a Cure, taking on the demanding Double Summit challenge across Breast Peak and Breast Hill in support of breast cancer research.

Now, with the launch of Sidekick Soda's new Watermelon flavour, that support continues — helping fund meaningful research for mums, daughters, sisters, partners, and friends across Aotearoa New Zealand.

When will my pack ship?

We'll start production once the limited run sells out. Your Watermelon pre-order is expected to ship around 6 weeks after the final box is sold. You'll get tracking by email the day it leaves us.

When do pre-orders close?

Pre-orders close when the 700 available boxes sell out. This first run is capped at 700 boxes.

What does Watermelon Sidekick taste like?

Bright, juicy watermelon with soft fizz, New Zealand honey, and a splash of apple cider vinegar. Fruity and refreshing, without the fake watermelon lolly taste.

How does the Breast Cancer Cure support work?

For every 12-pack of Watermelon sold in New Zealand, Sidekick donates NZ$10 directly to Breast Cancer Cure, a registered New Zealand charity funding breast cancer research.

The donation comes from Sidekick's revenue — it is not added on top of your order.

Is this available outside New Zealand?

This Watermelon pre-order is currently available for New Zealand delivery only.

Can I get a tax receipt for the donation?

Because the NZ$10 contribution is donated by Sidekick from the product sale, it is not treated as a separate personal donation from you, so we can't issue individual tax receipts.

Can I donate directly instead of pre-ordering?
