Strawberries, basil, lime, coconut cream, and Sidekick Strawberry. Creamy, but the soda keeps it from turning into a dessert. Alcohol-free as written. A splash of white rum is optional, not the point.
The recipe is the one in the photos: lime-salt rim, muddled basil, fresh and frozen strawberries, coconut cream, then Strawberry Sidekick on top. Ingredients and method sit in the card below.
How to make it
Zest two of the limes and mix the zest with flaky salt and sugar; rim the glasses. Squeeze the lime juice and muddle it with basil — a rolling pin works if you do not have a muddler. Strain into a blender. Add a mix of fresh and frozen strawberries, agave, and coconut cream; blend until smooth. Pour into the rimmed glasses and top with Strawberry Sidekick Soda.
What it tastes like
Strawberry and coconut, lime and basil. Frozen berries make it slightly slushy; fresh ones keep it bright. The soda is the strawberry fizz, not a mixer hiding underneath.
Garnish and serve
Basil, remaining lime zest, a lime wedge. A cocktail umbrella if you are in the mood.
Made with Sidekick Strawberry.
