Cans vs glass vs plastic — what Sidekick ships

Sidekick 250ml cans — the format we ship

The packaging debate on this URL used to be an encyclopedia: cans, glass, plastic, cartons, and a pile of overseas recycling stats. That is not how Sidekick ships.

We ship 250ml cans. That is the home fridge format, the café door format, and what Fridge Fill is built around. Glass bottles are paused. We do not sell plastic bottles or cartons.

Why cans at home

Cans chill fast. They stack in a door, a chilly bin, and a courier box. A 12-pack is how most people buy Sidekick. Three boxes is a Fridge Fill: free NZ shipping, $6 off.

If you landed here looking for bottles, buy cans. Do not wait on glass. The short home version: cans for the home fridge.

What about glass?

We used to bottle. Those product pages are gone. Glass is not the plan for the next order — not for home, not for trade. If you want it in a glass, pour the can at the table.

Cafés: cans vs glass for cafés. Same answer. Face the cans. Reorder cans.

Plastic bottles and cartons

Those are other people’s formats. Sidekick is not a PET soft drink and not a Tetra Pak. Recycle the can you actually bought — in New Zealand that is the yellow bin or the scrap stream your council names for aluminium. We are not going to rank every package on earth on this page.
