A grocery fridge is not a café fridge. Shoppers are walking past with a basket, not waiting for a flat white. The 12-pack has to read in one glance: honey-sweetened soda, real fruit, no cane sugar.
This is how grocers range Sidekick — where it sits, which flavours to start with, and how the case pack works.
Put it with the cold drinks people already buy
Range it in the cold-drink fridge, at hand height, next to other premium sodas and kombucha — not on a dry grocery shelf, and not behind the milk. One facing per flavour is enough to start. The can has to be visible from the aisle.
Staff do not need a tasting script. The line that works on shelf is the same one that works in a café: honey-sweetened, no cane sugar.
Start with four flavours, not one
Cherry, Mango, Pear, and Strawberry cover a bright, a tropical, a dry food-friendly, and an everyday fruit. A single SKU looks like a trial. Four SKUs look like a range.
Each case is one flavour — 12 × 250ml cans. Mix flavours across cases in the same order so you are not left with a hole on the shelf.
Case pack and minimum
Wholesale is 12-pack cases. Minimum order is 5 cases. That is enough to fill a fridge door without overstocking a small grocer. Live case pricing and GST invoices sit on Upstock.
Shoppers looking for a store can use Find Sidekick. Own the store? The trade page is wholesale soda for NZ cafés and retailers.
