A new kind of soda story

Most new soda brands start with a whiteboard. Sidekick started with a glass.

In Auckland in the 1970s, Fiona’s mum Irene made a shrub — fruit, honey, apple cider vinegar, water. Fiona grew up drinking it. Years later, tired of stevia sodas she could not finish, she and her son Rogan went back to that idea and added bubbles.

That is Sidekick: a New Zealand honey soda from Wānaka. Real fruit. New Zealand honey. A splash of apple cider vinegar. No cane sugar. No stevia. No erythritol.

Not a wellness brand

We do not sell gut miracles. We sell a can that tastes like fruit soda with a clean finish. The heritage is real; the modern recipe is evolved — inspired by Nana’s shrub, not poured unchanged into a can. Our Story is the full page.

Why the US cares

US shelves are crowded with stevia and fiber soft drinks. Sidekick’s wedge is simpler: taste. If you want cherry or watermelon without that aftertaste, this is a different door. Browse on sodakick.com.

Retail, honestly

We are building US retail the slow way — named stockists only. Find Sidekick or suggest a store. Press and awards sit on Sidekick in the press when they are real.

The line we keep

Nana started the drink. We started the brand. Try what that idea became.
